Reconstruction of a 16th Century Pirate
"The remains were found by the City of Edinburgh Council at the Capital’s oldest working Primary School last year while survey work was being undertaken to build an extension.
Victoria Primary School is situated close to the harbour in Newhaven, one of Scotland’s historic fishing villages. Workers expected to find remains of the original harbour and shipbuilding but instead uncovered human bones." - Edinburgh City Council.

'A permanent exhibition site in the village of Cramond, showing the history of the area from 8500 BC - our earliest known evidence of human activity in the area.'
'Face the past and meet a group of 6th century residents. Find out how they lived and how they died.
The Roman occupation and Dark Age bodies from the Bathhouse will be explored, and the forensic science behind archaeological investigation such as Isotopic, DNA, forensic analysis and reconstructions will be explained.'
